What started in April 2006 as a dream of a core group of Civil War history buffs has grown into a vibrant association of Living Historians whose overall goal has become the main emphasis of the Civil War Center of Texas (CWCT):

To enlighten the public,

Through living historians,

On life during the American Civil War era,

With re-enactments, living history events,

Educational demonstrations

And related activities.

 

We are a civilian group with no military alignment.

The CWCT is incorporated in the state of Texas and is registered as a 501c-3 non-profit Educational Organization. Our officers and volunteers manage all facets and duties required to successfully support our educational programs, the dynamic expansion of our Civilian Living History organization and the exponential growth of our re-enactments.

We are continuously seeking interested parties to help us fulfill our education mission and would very much appreciate you participation in the future. We are looking for sponsors, advertisers, friends and volunteers who can help make our mission a success.
